This multinational company has strings of Nobel Prizes and National Medals of Science attached to its belt. The four main divisions of this company are the hardware division, software division, financing division and service division. The 000-581 is specially designed for system administrators and technicians that deal with IBM software. The 000-581 is also known as the IBM FileNet Content Manager V5.1 test. There are a total of 57 questions in this exam and each candidate will have an hour and a half to complete the exam. The test will be conducted in English and passing score for this test is 60%. It's common knowledge that the best way for a candidate to prepare for an exam is to understand the format and know all the topics covered by the exam. All the 57 questions are multiple choice questions and some questions; there will be more than just one correct answer. The exam covers seven different topics thus the test will be divided into 7 parts and each with their own percentage.The first section is called Architecture and Planning (17%). The candidate will be required to demonstrate and describe information on core engines and Content Manager all the way to API's and P8 dependencies. The second section is known as Installation and Configuration (9%) and candidates will be quizzed about Composite Platform Installation Tools, Configuration Tools and P8 Engine client files.The third section of the exam is called Administration (16%), here the candidates will be asked to demonstrate their understanding on CBR's IBM's dashboard, P8 system's start-up and shut-down processes plus Consistency Checkers. Repository Design and Management (23%) is the fourth section of this exam and the candidate will be quizzed on repository design concepts and Content engine events.The fifth section is Deployment (7%) and regardless to how small it weighs, understanding it is important. Candidates will be asked to demonstrate deployments processes and their knowledge on FileNet Deployment Manager. The second last section is Security (9%) and is one of the more crucial topics. Candidates must be well versed with authorization and authentication concepts plus security caching. The final section is Troubleshooting and Performance Tuning (11%).
